As a senior R&D Engineer and Project Manager I was responsible for leading projects across all stages of medical device development, from market research and concept development through prototyping, manufacturing, and product launch. 

As the lead R&D Engineer I was responsible for all technical aspects of the project, including sourcing, prototyping, verification & validation testing, and transfer to manufacturing. For all projects, I also served as Project Manager, where I led a cross-functional team to ensure all project requirements were met for each stage of development, including regulatory, quality, sterilization, biocompatibility, manufacturing, and packaging.

 

In Interventional Specialties, we worked on a broad range of products including the PleurX Cather System, AVAmax vertebroplasty and kypnoplasty system, and a wide variety of bone and tissue biopsy needles and procedure trays.
